September- 2005/ The Surfing Favela team, finished shooting the last scenes of the documentary shot in Rio de Janeiro´s Favelas and safely returns home. Brazil, 2005.

August-2005/ M.Laura Ruggiero was awarded the Young Creators Scholarship by the National Department of Culture. Argentina, 2005. January-2005/ Maria Laura Ruggiero and Verónica Baston, were chosen to represent Seiren Films in the Production Clinics of the Young Talent Program of the Mar del Plata International Film Festival. The clinic was hosted by Nicolás Battle and Hugo Castro Fau. The project chosen for the clinic was “Arcos”. Argentina,2005

January-2005/The Surfing Favela Project, written and produced by Tomas Crowder and M.Laura Ruggiero ranked among the ten best projects and got the complete funds to produce the film. USA, 2005.

February-2004/ Arcos was selected for The Script Clinic, a program held by the Berlin International Film Festival. The project will get a private script consultation by Thomas Schlesinger. Thomas Schlesinger is a Script consultant for Doris Dorrie and Caroline Link among many others. Germany-2004.

January-2004/ M.Laura Ruggiero was selected as screenwriter and director by the Berlinale Talent Campus. This program selects every year the upcoming talent of the international film industry for a series of seminars and conferences. Germany,2004
